Best Ever Peanut Sauce
There’s a wonderful coffee shop/diner on the Sunshine Coast that sells a delicious thai turkey wrap. And while the wrap is terrific, I think my favorite part might be the peanust sauce that comes with it. This recipe tastes exactly like that sauce. Very tasty as a dipping sauce or with a noodle/fresh vege salad. Yum!!
Best Ever Peanut Sauce
Special Note: Best made in a blender of some kind.
Ingredients:
1/2c creamy unsalted natural peanut butter
1/4 low sodium lite soya sauce (I used low sodium tamari)
1/4c rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp sweet chilli sauce (or sriracha to taste)
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger (I keep fresh ginger root in my freezer, very easy to grate on a microplane)
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4c water (optional - depends on desired thickness)
Instructions:
Put all ingredients in a blender.
Blend until well combined.
Taste for seasoning…more sweet, more spice…?
Salad: Cook desired pasts for salad (I used macaroni in these pictures but usually use a noodle like spaghettini)…let cool (run under cold water to speed cooling)
Chop up a desired combination of fresh veges.
Combine veges and pasta.
Serve with peanut sauce on the side, allowing each individual to add desired amount of peanut sauce to their serving.
Enjoy!!
