4 Ingredient Banana Bars

4 Ingredient Banana Bars

Acck - what to make when you have ‘more than a couple’ of ripe bananas…and you don’t need to freeze anymore ripe bananas? Well, that was the kick off to this super easy recipe. What a great clean way to enjoy a snack or a breakfast on the go!

4 Ingredient Banana Bars

Special Note: With only four ingredients, with one being salt, chances are good you have all of these ingredients. Oh - I guess if you include 2 tbsp water, these technically have 5 ingredients…

Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe bananas

  • 4c oats

  • 1tsp cinnamon

  • 1/8tsp salt

  • 2tbsp water

  • Optional: 1/2c chocolate chips…or any other bit or bite you want to add…blueberries are also a terrific addition :)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. With a fork, mash the bananas in a large bowl.

  3. Now add the oats, cinnamon and water and mix together.

  4. Place the mixture into a silicone baking pan (as in my photos), or a pan lined with baking paper, and press down firmly with the back of the fork to compact it into the baking pan.

  5. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

  7. Store in a sealed container, or wrapped, at room temperature for a few days or can be frozen.
