Relax

After years of flipping through glossy gardening magazines, I finally realized that the only way to be a successful urban vegetable gardener is to actually be an urban vegetable gardener. In other words, I needed to roll up my sleeves, put on some gloves, grab a trowel and start digging, planting, weeding…and hopefully harvesting.

Recipes that capture not only the old, where ‘mom used to make the best…’, but also the new, as many recipes have evolved alongside our family. Recipes that have nourished not only our bodies but also our family memories. Evoking similar and sometimes different memories in each family member, these are the memories that sit at the core of what makes us a family.

Unwind

We all love music as a form of art in our own ways: some prefer a little more rock, or electronic, or eclectic, or, in my case, anything played LOUDLY. A few years ago, my husband, the consummate romantic, took his love of music to a whole new level, coming home with a 1970’s vinyl record turntable, amplifier, stand-up speakers and about a dozen used records.
